Taking a Break During Exams | georgiamae

Hi guys this is just a little update post to say that I won't be blogging in the next couple of weeks as I have important end of year exams in around 2 weeks and then a french speaking exam straight after. I would have liked to have continued blogging through my exams as i've been on a good kick recently but realistically it's not possible as I am trying to reach my target grades and above in every subject. I know i'm only in year 10 and my gcse's aren't for another year but I see end of year exams as an opportunity to show me and my teachers that I can reach my targets. So I am going to take a mini break from blogging to focus on revision and other things. However don't worry i'll still be active over on my instagram (@georgiaa.mae) and I do have lots of exciting blogposts planned for when exams are finished which will be around 3 weeks away for those who are wondering. I am going to New York at the end of May so get excited for really good blogposts on New York and things like that. I hope you all understand why I am taking this mini break.

Everyday Look Using the Naked 3 | georgiamae

Hi guys so i've wanted to do this post for a really really long time and i'm finally getting around to doing this post. So my naked 3 is actually one of my most go to pallets especially for spring as it has very rosy shades which just scream spring to me.

So my go to look from the naked 3 putting the shades 'dust' and 'burnout' all over my lid as they create a very nice rosy shimmery shade all over my lid. Then I like to put the shade 'nooner' in my crease as it is a matte shade and it also had some very brown tones to add definition into my crease and add depth to my look. I also like to put 'nooner' on my lower lash line because it just adds a extra bit of definition to my lower lash line. If i feel like a want to smoke my look out a little bit more I like to put factory in the outer v of my eye with a very light hand to add more smokiness to my eye look.

I know this post was quite short but i hope you enjoyed it...

Lush Shiny Happy People Gift Set | georgiamae

Hi guys so today I'm going to be talking about the lush 'Shiny Happy People' gift set that I got for my birthday from my mum and dad. So far my overall opinion in that this set is really good and has a little of everything. I'm not sure of the price as this was I gift i'm sorry.

So the first thing in this gift set is the 'Happy Hippy' shower gel, this smells amazing. It smells very citrusy and lemony. I usually love lemon based smells and this one in exactly that. When I use this on a morning it just wakes me up up and makes me feel very refreshed in the morning. On the bottle it also says it has grapefruit and I agree. Another good thing is that it can be used on your hair as well as your body, it is also a very good size too. Next is the 'Bohemian' soap it has exactly the same smell a the 'Happy Hippy' shower gel which is amazing as when I take baths I would rather use a soap instead i'm no sure why I just find it more convenient. I would say the soap has more lemon in it as the smell is a bit stronger. Lastly is the green fun which is very multi-use as it can be used as a shower gel a soap and a bubble bath. I have had one of these before I had the gold fun at christmas time and it was very good. I like to use it as a bubble bath most as it creates amazing bubbles. I would fully recommend this set to anyone looking to try new lush products.

My All Time Favourite Bronzer | georgiamae

Hi guys so today I'm going to be telling you all about what's probably my holy grail bronzer. I'm sure that i'll love other bronzers but this is my current favourite and has been for some time. If you follow me on Instagram you'll know that I talk about this bronzer a huge lot and that's because it's honestly amazing. This is the BareMinerals ready Bronzer in the shade 'skinny dip'.

I find that this just stays on my face longer than any other bronzer I own. I don't have problems with products sliding off my face as i have very dry skin. Also this bronzer is very pigmented when you first put it on and it can be sheered out which is good when you're in a rush as you can just quickly blend in some bronzer to warm up your complexion. Whereas with things like my Borjouis chocolate bronzer it takes a bit of building up to get it to what you like. Which in some cases can be good but it's what I prefer. Also this bronzer isn't too orange toned either which is amazing as some bronzers on me can either look too orange or too muddy. This is the perfect shade for me as I am quite pale so it doesn't look awkward on me. I know BareMinerals is quite expensive but I urge you to check this out as this bronzer is amazing.

The Perfect Pink Blush | georgiamae

Hi guys so for todays post i am going to be talking to you all about this perfect pink blush from Clinique that I've discovered recently. I got a sample of this in a Clinique gift bag I received. I'm pretty sure this is either a deluxe sample or full size. The colour is honestly amazing when you apply this to your cheeks it just gives the perfect natural flush to your cheeks a if you aren't wearing any blush at all. Also this blush is very highly pigmented just one little tap from your brush gives you a lot of product; which I didn't know at first as I swirled my brush around lightly a couple of times and I got quite a lot of product. also this blush goes perfect with my Bare Minerals foundation as together they both just give a really natural healthy glow to your complexion.

If you were wondering the shade of this blush is 'pink love'. The blush also has tiny flecks of shimmer in it which are really un-noticable and natural when you apply it to your face. Which is what I like so much about this blush. Before I got this blush I wan't really a blush fan I always thought that they were pointless and they did nothing but when I tried this I was amazed at what a blush can do to your entire makeup look. I never really owned a blush before this but now I certainly want to purchase more. I would definitely recommend this for anyone just starting out with makeup wanting a natural blush shade. Even though Clinique is a very high end brand they are always giving out deluxe samples so I would urge you to try this while it's still on offer.

Fresh Minimal Makeup for Spring | georgiamae

Hi guys so as spring is now upon us the way I tend to wear my makeup changes as I now no longer want to go for full coverage but I still want my face to look very fresh. So today I am going to tell you how I like to change up my makeup for the spring time. I hope you enjoy this as I know my tutorial posts and makeup posts in general are most popular with all of you.

So first I like to stick with my trusted BareMinerals powder foundation for the spring and it gives a very flawless but still light coverage if that's possible. It just makes my face appear very bright. I use this in winter too as it can be built up to be full coverage but it's perfect for spring. I also still like to use my collection lasting perfection as I have exams at the moment to as expected i'm not getting that much sleep as I'd like to.

A way that I love to brighten up my makeup for spring and make it very fresh is to sometimes to ditch the liquid eyeliner completely and just add mascara. My current favourite is the maybelline lash sensational mascara. I just feel that not wearing liquid eyeliner as much just makes by makeup look very fresh and minimal. Although I do love liquid eyeliner and I usually wear a thin line on my top lash line most days it is sometimes nice to skip eyeliner especially in spring. Staying with the topic of eyeliner I like to wear a nude eyeliner in my waterline to brighten my eyes and make me look more awake. Perfect for spring. The nude just gives your eyes a more awake look and the one i've been loving at the moment is from Rimmel.

I also like to use cream products on my eyes occasionally as they are very fast and stay on my eyes all day especially when it starts to get that little bit warmer. The ones i've been loving recently are the maybelline colour tattoos I have the shades 'Eternal Pink' and 'Creamy Beige'. I must admit 'Creamy Beige' has become a staple for me recently. And lastly I love colour tinted lip balms like the Benefit balms as the just add a pop of colour to your look.
